We at the Reserve Bank of India value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you register for our international conference.

Our information collection, storage and processing practices are in compliance with India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rules framed thereunder as amended from time to time and are aligned to the possible extent with requirements of international privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other privacy regulations. Though some of the Laws, Rules & Regulations may not be strictly applicable to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), RBI is fully committed to respect your privacy and shall ensure within its ability that your Information is safe.

When you register for our conference, we may collect the following information:

Personal Identification Information: Full Name, email address, contact number, , nationality, country of residence, spouse details (Name and Nationality), passport details (passport number, date of issue, date of expiry, country of issue, visa number)..

Professional Information: Organization, designation, department.

Critical Health Information: Food preferences, dietary restrictions, blood group, other critical health information, over the counter medicine, any other assistance needed, emergency contact information (name and contact number).

Technical Information: IP address, browser type, and operating system for website analytics.

How We Collect Data

We collect data through:

Online registration forms.
Direct communication with you via email or phone.
Automated technologies such as cookies and server logs.

While facilitating the event at the conference venue, at accommodation place and or while providing transport services.

Information collected through the application may be stored and processed in India where the Reserve Bank of India & its subsidiary maintains facilities.

RBI strives to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of your personal & sensitive personal information and to protect your Information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Stringent security measures (physical, electronic and managerial) are in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the personal information under the control of RBI.

RBI uses and has a comprehensive documented Information Security program and Information Security policies that contain managerial, technical, operational, and physical security control measures that are commensurate with the Information being protected. RBI periodically assesses, audits, and updates its information security protocols and policies to achieve the highest standards on a continuous and ongoing basis. Data Center where the application and its database are hosted is in scope of ISO 27001:2022 certification.

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Privacy Policy or elsewhere, RBI shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or misuse of your personal or sensitive personal information, if such loss, damage, or misuse is attributable to a Force Majeure Event or any other event beyond the control of RBI.

We will retain the data for 15 days from the end date of the conference.

Schedule 1

Refer Rule 2(i) and Rule 3 of the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 under Information Technology Act, 2000 of India.

Rule 2 (i)

"Personal information" means any information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with a body corporate, can identify such person.

Rule 3

Sensitive personal data or information of a person means such personal information which consists of information relating to: -

password;

financial information such as Bank account or credit card or debit card or other payment instrument details;

physical, physiological and mental health condition;

sexual orientation;

medical records and history;

Biometric information;

any detail relating to the above clauses as provided to body corporate for providing service; and

any of the information received under above clauses by body corporate for processing, stored or processed under lawful contract or otherwise:

provided that, any information that is freely available or accessible in public domain or furnished under the Right to Information Act, 2005 or any other law for the time being in force shall not be regarded as sensitive personal data or information for the purposes of these Rules.
